The recent development of simplified or coarse grain (CG) representation of molecular systems added to growth of computational power allow nowadays the study of size and timescales that really match those biologically and technologically relevant.

The Institut Pasteur de Montevideo will offer in October 2011 a hands-on course on simulations of biological systems to provide a comprehensive and wide spectrum of CG techniques.

This event is organized by the group of Biomolecular Simulations and will count with internationally recognized speakers in this field. The course will be open and a number of fellowships will be available for young scientist from Latin America.
