Core facilities

Modern biomedical research requires the combination of high-performance tools that allow the access to the latest scientific advances in the different research areas. The IP Montevideo therefore provide,s academic and private partners, with state-of-the-art core facilities.  These include transgenic facilities, flow cytometry, cell imaging, and instrumentation for major genomic and proteomic studies, bioinformatics and technologies to study protein structure and protein-protein interactions. The combination of these technologies allows more innovative biomedical research approaches, which will gradually transform the way of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

The technological units provide personalized services according to the user’s need. In some cases users will be trained in order to have autonomous access to the facilities.
