Program

The course will have strong theoretical lectures as well as intense hands-on practical work. The emphasis will be on:

• setting up experiments with the installed, state-of-the-art crystallization and diffraction instrumentation available at the Pasteur Institute of Montevideo (macromolecular crystallogenesis, robotics-assisted screening strategies; cryocrystallography; single crystal X ray diffraction data collection);
• processing and analyzing the diffraction data; and,
• analyzing the derived atomic models and structural data (critical reading of Structural Biology scientific reports).

In order to achieve the workshop's goals, established, state-of-the-art experimental techniques and software will be employed. A prestigious staff of invited speakers, from the region and abroad, will guarantee an excellent level.
